What is a Coloured Diamond?
Yellow diamonds acquire their color due to traces of
nitrogen within them, which absorbs blue light and reflects yellow to orange
hues. Pink diamonds result from a distorted crystal lattice that absorbs a
specific band of green rays. Blue diamond’s absorb green, red, and yellow light
rays due to their binding with boron.
